Ahmedabad Metro Phase II: Sabarmati Bridge construction progresses

Ahmedabad Metro Rail Phase II is making rapid progress, with a key focus on the Sabarmati Bridge. This bridge spans 1 kilometers across, and comprises 23 spans, each measuring 41.80 meters in length. 12 of these spans have already been successfully erected.

The Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation Limited (GMRCL) is executing the construction of each span with efficiency, completing the superstructure of each span in just six days. GMRCL has also announced that train trials are scheduled for April 2024.

City experiences early winter signs with misty mornings and cooler temperatures

On Friday, the city experienced a misty morning, signaling the arrival of winter. Many areas reported misty conditions until 9 am. Meanwhile, the maximum temperature reached 34.8 degrees Celsius, which was 1.2 degrees below the normal range, while the minimum temperature dropped to 21.8 degrees Celsius, 1.6 degrees below the usual minimum.

According to the IMD, today's weather is expected to be consistent with yesterday's conditions.
