Direct flights to four new tourist destinations

Considering Gujaratis' passion for travel, the authorities recently launched direct flights from Ahmedabad to four exciting tourist destinations. Travel enthusiasts can now conveniently explore Diu, Jaisalmer, Agra, and the Andaman Nicobar Islands without wasting precious time on layovers.

A new flight schedule commenced from Ahmedabad's Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Airport on October 29, enabling daily direct flights to these enticing destinations.

Winter delayed, November seems warmer than usual

Amdavadis eagerly await the arrival of winter to provide respite from the city's typical extreme temperatures. However, this year, November has ushered in a warmer start to the season. On Sunday, the maximum temperature exceeded the usual average by two degrees.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has also predicted that the minimum temperature will persist, indicating a delay in the onset of winter-like conditions in the coming days.

Traders have observed a significant 20-25 percent decrease in sales, even though prices have been reduced compared to the previous year.

The decline in sales is attributed to factors such as corporate gifting, economic conditions, and a shift towards gifting chocolates and sweets during the festive season.

The Vishv Umiya Foundation has been operating Uma Swadam, a venture dedicated to the sale of sweets and farsan for the past year. This Sunday marked the grand inauguration of a new Uma Swadam store at the Science City in Ahmedabad. Community leaders, Kanubhai Patel and Nitinbhai Patel, graced the occasion, and the prasad will now be available to patrons as far away as America and Britain.
