AMC's initiative: Rehabilitation Center for stray dogs

AMC is to establish a specialized rehabilitation center for stray dogs. With growing concerns over the menace of stray dogs and instances of dog bites, AMC has taken proactive measures. As part of its initiative to make Ahmedabad a rabies-free city by 2030, the corporation will develop an innovative program focusing on taming aggressive stray dogs.

A team of specialists, including a veterinarian, will concentrate on habituation, counterconditioning, and response substitution techniques. Additionally, private dog owners are encouraged to participate in the program. They can either send their pets to AMC's correctional facility or hire an expert to address behavioral issues.

Temporary downtime for AMC website

Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation's website, www.ahmedabadcity.gov.in, is presently undergoing technical maintenance. Due to this, the website will run slowly from today until Sunday, March 24th.

During this period, citizens attempting housing application forms for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and online forms for ongoing recruitment will face issues. The e-governance department has confirmed that the deadline for form submissions will be extended by the municipal corporation.

New daily flights: Vistara connects Ahmedabad and Bengaluru

One flight will depart in the morning, and the second in the evening. This strategic move is aimed at accommodating the expected surge in travelers during the upcoming summer travel season.
