The Meteorological Department has predicted a break from the heatwave starting on Saturday, May 25. Late last night, Ahmedabad experienced a significant drop in temperature, offering some respite from the recent extreme heat. For the past five days, the early morning maximum temperature had consistently been around 35 degrees Celsius. However, this morning at 8 am, the temperature in Ahmedabad was recorded at 31 degrees Celsius.
This 4-degree decrease from the usual morning temperatures indicates a welcome change in the weather pattern, providing some relief to the residents after several days of intense heat.
In response to the extreme heat and uncomfortable weather, the operating hours for Jan Seva Kendras in Ahmedabad will be adjusted for the coming week. These centers will open an hour earlier than usual to accommodate the heatwave conditions.
Starting next week, Jan Seva Kendras will operate from 9:30 am to 6:10 pm instead of the current schedule of 10:30 am to 6:10 pm. The public, along with officers and employees, are advised to note these changes. Additionally, working staff have been informed to observe these new timings during this period.
