World Cup excitement takes over SVPI Airport

The anticipation for the World Cup final between India and Australia has reached a fever pitch in Ahmedabad. The highly-awaited match at Narendra Modi Stadium kicks off tomorrow at 2 PM. The star-studded teams have already landed in the city, prompting Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport to gear up for a surge in flight movements and passenger traffic.

To handle the increased demand, 12 additional flights have been scheduled, catering especially to cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata. Sources indicate that SVPI Airport expects over 100 chartered flights. In a statement, the airport advises all travelers passing through SVPI to allocate extra time for travel-related formalities and mandatory security protocols.

Grand pre-event extravaganza at Narendra Modi Stadium

The excitement leading up to the highly-anticipated clash is palpable, and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is leaving no stone unturned to make it a grand affair. NaMo Stadium is buzzing with a series of events and performances before the match begins. Amdavadis have already witnessed the excitement with drone and air shows during rehearsals.

The pre-event spectacle includes dance performances and music by Indian legends like Pritam and international pop sensation Dua Lipa. BCCI plans to honor all World Cup-winning captains in a parade of Champions, bringing together cricket legends under one roof.

Superfast Special Trains for cricket fans tomorrow

Complementing the added air connectivity, the Western Railway has announced three special superfast trains between Mumbai and Ahmedabad on the day of the World Cup final, November 19.

These include the Bandra Terminus-Ahmedabad Superfast Special, Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad Superfast Special, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus-Ahmedabad Superfast Special. These trains, with special fares, are set to arrive in Ahmedabad on Sunday morning.
