Ahmedabad's Kankaria Carnival 2024: A week-long fest of culture, entertainment and wellness!

Kankaria Carnival 2024 is set to enthral Ahmedabad from the 25th to the 31st of December at Kankaria Lakefront. Organised by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, this annual festival promises a vibrant mix of culture, entertainment, and wellness for visitors of all ages.

With a budget exceeding ₹6 crores, the event aims to deliver a week-long fest featuring renowned artists, fun competitions, and diverse attractions.

The carnival will start each day with wellness activities such as yoga, pranayama, meditation, aerobics, and Zumba, promoting holistic well-being. Afternoons will feature interactive workshops, competitions, and a food court offering local delicacies, creating an engaging space for families.

Evenings will transform the lakefront into a dazzling spectacle with laser shows, sound displays, and live performances by popular artists. Cultural programs like classical dances, Talwar Raas, Tippani dance, and the soothing melodies of Jal Tarang will celebrate Gujarat’s heritage. Attractions such as puppet shows, a magical fountain, and a unique pet fashion show are sure to captivate audiences.

For the creative and competitive, the carnival offers activities like nail art, tattoo-making, karaoke, and contests in singing, dancing, and stand-up comedy.

The Kankaria Lakefront will be equipped with CCTV surveillance, a control room, and on-site police and fire brigade staff to ensure safety. Additional services like a lost and found desk, medical teams, and blood donation camps will further enhance the visitor experience.

The entry fee is ₹10 for adults and ₹5 for children, with separate charges for attractions like boat rides, the train, and the butterfly park.
