Calico Museum of Textiles

Founded in 1949 by industrialist Gautam Sarabhai and his sister Gira Sarabhai and inaugurated by then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, the Calico Museum of Textiles is a wonderland. Witness the historic evolution of Indian handicraft and industrial textiles, from the delicate hand-woven muslins of the Mughal era to the vibrant Bandhani prints of Kutch.

Learn about dyeing techniques, printing processes, and the artistry behind every thread. It houses some of the world's finest collections of antique and modern Indian textiles, all handmade and up to 500 years old.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Memorial

Dedicated to the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Memorial stands as a solemn tribute to one of the nation's foremost leaders. Housed in the majestic Moti Shahi Mahal, this museum offers a glimpse into Patel's leadership and his pivotal role in India's struggle for independence. To celebrate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's 100th birthday in 1975, the Gujarat government designated the palace as a site to honor his memory.

Photographs, documents, and personal belongings on display vividly portray Patel's indomitable spirit and unwavering commitment to national unity.

Gandhi Memorial Museum/ Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya
