A new state-of-the-art ‘Advanced Organic Testing Laboratory’ was inaugurated on Sunday in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The advanced facility came up in the AmulFed Dairy, which functions as a unit of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd (GCMMF).
This new hi-tech lab will be able to test food products that have been claimed to be ‘organic’ to make sure that the said product has been made without the use of synthetic fertilizers or chemicals of any kind.
Furthermore, the lab will also make sure that organic products sold in the market are in line with the national and international standards.
