Knocksense Shorts | Sardar Sarovar Dam inches away from the full reservoir level

The dam's water level hits 131.15m, marking a first this monsoon season.

For the first time in this year's monsoon season, the Sardar Sarovar Dam in the Narmada district has reached a water level of 131.15 meters, as confirmed by an official statement from the Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Ltd. The rise in water level can be attributed to substantial rainfall in the surrounding areas and the dam's catchment zones.

With a mere few inches left to reach its maximum reservoir capacity of 138.68 meters, the dam's water level has surged by 11 centimeters in the past 24 hours. If this upward trajectory continues, the possibility of witnessing the dam's overflow becomes increasingly likely.
