As festivals come to life on the calendar, we find ourselves sketching travel plans with enthusiasm. Amplifying the thrill is the eagerly awaited World Cup matches poised to grace our city.
In response to the holiday season and the electrifying World Cup buzz, numerous airlines are introducing an array of domestic and international flights departing from Ahmedabad, ready to meet the demands of both the vacation seekers and the sports aficionados.
New international flights
Gujaratis have always been known for their enthusiasm for travel, and during this festive period, destinations like Thailand, Bali, Vietnam, and Dubai have emerged as popular choices. Seizing the opportunity presented by this expected surge in demand, Air Asia is poised to commence a direct flight from Bangkok to Ahmedabad in October, while Vietjet Air is gearing up to introduce the Ahmedabad-Hanoi route.
IndiGo has already taken the lead by announcing new daily flights from Ahmedabad to Abu Dhabi and Jeddah, which are now operational.
Domestic flight expansion
In addition to these international connections, the city is set to welcome new domestic flights. Indigo Airlines expanded its services with additional flights from Ahmedabad to Srinagar starting on August 11. Following suit, Spice Jet Airlines plans to introduce extra flights from Ahmedabad to Kolkata and Ahmedabad to Goa in the first week of September.
