The Western Railway has announced two special trains between Mumbai and Ahmedabad on the 25th and 26th of January to accommodate fans attending Coldplay’s concerts at Narendra Modi Stadium. These services are a response to the surging demand for travel options as regular trains are fully booked, and airfares between the two cities have skyrocketed.

The trains, classified as “winter specials” under Railway Board directives, are scheduled to depart from Bandra Terminus at 6:15 AM, reaching Ahmedabad at 2:00 PM on the 25th of January and 1:00 PM on the 26th of January. Return journeys from Ahmedabad are planned for 1:40 AM on the 26th of January and 12:50 AM on the 27th of January, arriving at Bandra Terminus by 8:40 AM and 8:30 AM, respectively. Key halts include Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, and Bharuch.
Coldplay’s Ahmedabad performances follow three concerts at Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium, where suburban trains were arranged for concertgoers. Officials anticipate high demand for these special trains due to the band’s massive popularity, comparing the situation to the crowd surges seen during the Cricket World Cup in Ahmedabad!
