Located in the check-in hall of Terminal 1 (Domestic Departures), the cafe offers essentials like tea and water for ₹10, while samosas, vadas, and sweets are available for just ₹20. Minister of Civil Aviation emphasized that the Udan Yatri Cafe initiative is designed to provide quality food at accessible prices, much like railway station kiosks. The initiative is expected to roll out in phases across various airports, making air travel more affordable and inclusive.
This is not the first Udan Yatri Cafe in India. The first was launched at Kolkata's Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport on the 19th of December, 2024, followed by another at Chennai International Airport on the 27th of February, 2025. Ahmedabad is the latest city under the initiative, aimed at providing affordable food options for travellers.
