The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) announced that approximately 1.66 lakh students from Ahmedabad will appear for the Class 10 and 12 board exams, starting from the 27th of February.

In Ahmedabad city, 54,616 Class 10 students will take exams at 33 centers, while 29,726 Class 12 general stream students and 7,853 science stream students will appear at 26 and 10 centers, respectively, totaling 92,195 students.

CCTV surveillance, traffic control, and special support for differently-abled students

Special arrangements have been made for differently-abled students, including ground-floor seating and the provision of writers to assist them during the exams. All centres have been fitted with CCTV cameras, and supervisors have been appointed to monitor the footage for any instances of malpractice. Additionally, two teachers will act as nodal officers at each centre to oversee the smooth running of operations.

The police have introduced stringent measures to maintain law and order, including traffic regulation around examination centres to ensure a peaceful environment for students. Students will be able to check their seat numbers at their respective centres on Wednesday afternoon. Schools serving as examination centres will remain open on Wednesday, despite the Shivratri holiday, to accommodate this process.

The GSHSEB aims to conduct the examinations seamlessly, ensuring fairness and security for all candidates. These measures underscore the board’s dedication to creating a conducive and stress-free environment for students to perform at their best.
