70 new buses to run between Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar

In a move to enhance connectivity between Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has introduced 70 new buses under the "Sachivalaya Point Service." Launched by the Chief Minister, the service aims to facilitate the daily commute of over 5,000 employees between the two cities.

The initiative is expected to benefit both workers and citizens visiting the capital of the state for various purposes.

Redevelopment Plans: Geeta Rambhia Circle faces demolition for new flyover

To address traffic congestion around Panchvati Circle, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has proposed the construction of a new L-shaped flyover. This flyover will span from Radisson Blu Hotel in Law Garden to the gate of CN Vidyalaya, passing over the Panchvati junction via Geeta Rambhia Circle.

Consequently, the recently rebuilt Geeta Rambhia Circle will be demolished to accommodate the new infrastructure. Despite concerns, AMC assures a future development plan for the circle.

Enhancing Airport Security: SVPI Airport to implement European Baggage Divert System

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPI) is set to introduce the European Baggage Divert System to detect gold smuggling. Already operational at Mumbai and Delhi airports, this innovative system will be integrated into the International arrival terminal at SVPI.

The implementation aims to enhance security measures, expedite customs clearance, and efficiently detect potential cases of gold smuggling, contributing to a more secure and streamlined airport experience.

Nutrition kits distributed to 1100 TB patients

As part of the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, the Ahmedabad Medical Association (AMA), in collaboration with Sterling Accuris Laboratory, has embraced the care of 1100 TB patients.

In a recent initiative, nutrition kits were distributed to these patients. Despite nationwide government provisions for free medications, numerous patients face challenges in affording a nutritious diet. To address this, the institutions organized a nutrition kit distribution event, ensuring that the patients receive sufficient nourishment during their treatment.
