Heritage Special Train will now run on Saturdays too

Due to increasing popularity and demand, Western Railways has announced the extension of the Ahmedabad-Ekta Nagar Heritage Train service to Saturdays, in addition to Sundays. Starting March 16th, the increased frequency aims to accommodate more travelers to the tourist destination of Ekta Nagar.

Ahmedabad Airport implements ban on auto rickshaws

The Ahmedabad Airport authorities have implemented a ban on auto rickshaws from entering the airport premises. This decision follows a recent altercation between airport security personnel and auto rickshaw drivers.

As a result, passengers departing from or arriving at the airport will now need to depend on pre-booked taxi services for their transportation needs.

Extended timings for city public parks and gardens

Amdavadis are experiencing the onset of summer with temperatures reaching the 35-degree Celsius mark. To offer respite during such times, AMC has decided to extend the operating hours of public parks and gardens. They will now remain accessible till 11 PM, with no closure during afternoon hours.

Holi Special buses and trains

In preparation for the Holi festival, the Gujarat ST Corporation plans to operate 1500 additional buses from March 19 to March 25, serving passengers traveling within the state and beyond. These buses will facilitate travel from various districts such as Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Amreli, Junagadh, Bhavnagar, and Bhuj to destinations including Godhra, Dahod, Jhalod, Chhota Udaipur, and more.

Special train services between Bandra Terminus-Bikaner and Bandra Terminus-Udaipur, with stops at various stations including Ahmedabad, will also be available at special fares.
