Ahmedabad weather report | Cold spell leads to a 4°C drop in city temperature

Zeal Jani

On Wednesday, Ahmedabad experienced a noticeable cold spell, witnessing a substantial 4-degree drop in both maximum and minimum temperatures over two days. This temperature decrease is attributed to the onset of cold, dry winds originating from the northeast. According to the weather department forecast, the cooler temperature will persist for the next three to four days.

Data from the Meteorological Department indicates that on January 1, Ahmedabad recorded a maximum temperature of 28 degrees and a minimum temperature of 16.2 degrees. However, the influence of cold winds led to reduced maximum temperature on Wednesday, settling at 26.3 degrees—a decline of 1.7 degrees. Simultaneously, the minimum temperature also experienced a drop, decreasing by 1.7 degrees to 14.5 degrees, which is 2.2 degrees below the normal range.
