The 15th edition of the Kankaria Carnival is set to be held this year, from the 25th to the 31st of December at Ahmedabad’s Kankaria Lakefront. Organised by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), the week-long event will feature a range of new attractions and popular programmes.

This year’s carnival will introduce a drone show, an underwater dance performance, and a human pyro show, alongside the much-loved laser show. The inauguration will also include an attempt to set a Guinness World Record, where 1,000 children will simultaneously unwrap and eat chocolates. The carnival will feature a theme-based parade on "Developed Gujarat, Developed India," daily cultural programmes, and performances by noted artists including Geeta Rabari, Kinjal Dave, and Ishani Dave, as well as stand-up comedians Manan Desai and Chirayu Mistry.

Other highlights include folk dances, patriotic songs, martial arts displays, pet fashion shows, and life-size puppet performances. The event is open to the public with free entry throughout the week.
