Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport has introduced a free inter-terminal electric shuttle bus service for the convenience of passengers.

The service, connecting Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 (located1.5 km apart), features two electric buses operating every 30 minutes, except during reduced frequency hours between 12 AM and 3 AM, and 11 AM to 3 PM.

Eco-friendly shuttles to offer AC comfort and Wi-Fi connectivity

The shuttles offer air-conditioned comfort with a 2×2 seating arrangement and automated ramps for passengers with reduced mobility. Additional features include free Wi-Fi, pneumatic dual doors with a finger protection system, CCTV surveillance, GPS tracking, an emergency panic button, and a medical kit, ensuring safety and convenience.

This green initiative aims to reduce annual carbon emissions by 20 tons and cut fuel consumption by 7,500 litres, underscoring the airport’s commitment to sustainability. The shuttle service will also assist passengers with connecting flights or transit between terminals, offering a seamless and stress-free travel experience.
