Application process for Jagriti Yatra 2024 begins; journey to start from Mumbai on November 16

A 15-day train journey starting from Mumbai, to inspire young entrepreneurs.

If you're a young entrepreneur or leader, this is your chance to join a transformative journey across India! The application process for this year's Jagriti Yatra has begun. Starting on 16th of November in Mumbai and ending on 1st of December, this year's Yatra will cover around 12 towns, including Ahmedabad, Delhi, Chennai, and Bangalore.

So, what is Jagriti Yatra? It’s a 15-day annual train journey covering 8,000 kilometers across India, designed to inspire young leaders through enterprise and to explore the challenges and opportunities in "Middle India," which includes Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

History and origins

Jagriti Yatra, organised by the non-profit Jagriti Sewa Sansthan, headquartered in Mumbai, focuses on skill development in Tier 2/3 cities. The initiative began in 2008. Since then, it has impacted over 7,500 youth from India and 23 other countries, fostering a growing community of entrepreneurs.

The participants will meet role models, change-makers, and leaders who have significantly impacted thousands of lives. The journey focuses on understanding the challenges and opportunities in "Middle India," comprising Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. 

Highlights of Jagriti Yatra 2024

Jagriti Yatra is an immersive 15-day train journey covering 8,000 kilometres across India, designed to inspire young leaders. Participants, or Yatris, will halt at various cities/towns and attend interactive sessions with successful entrepreneurs and change-makers. These sessions, including AC Chair Car presentations and compartment discussions, offer practical insights and foster active participation.

Yatris will adapt to a routine of living and working together on the train, engaging in group discussions, planning meetings, and giving presentations. They will learn to collaborate with people from diverse communities.

Travelling through diverse cities and towns, Yatris will experience India's cultural and geographical diversity, gaining exposure to unique challenges and opportunities.

How to apply for Jagriti Yatra 2024

Applications for the 2024 Jagriti Yatra are now open. If you are between 21-27 years old, you can apply as a participant. Experienced professionals above 28 years can apply as a facilitator.
