IPL 2025: GT vs RR at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium amid soaring temp, pitch report & more!

Despite the long boundaries at Motera, a 190+ total is still very much within reach.

Shubman Gill-led Gujarat Titans are set to clash with Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals in this evening’s high-octane IPL 2025 fixture at Ahmedabad’s Motera Stadium (Narendra Modi Stadium). The world’s largest cricket stadium has already hosted two matches this season, and data suggests a high-scoring encounter is on the cards. With the pitch offering minimal bounce, batsmen are expected to dominate, making a target of 190+ very much within reach.

However, the weather might play spoilsport; not in terms of rain but comfort. Ahmedabad is currently grappling with soaring temperatures and rising humidity levels, which could make for an uneasy evening, both for the crowd in the stands and the players on the field.

Ahmedabad to sizzle at 43°C today

With daytime temperatures soaring across much of Gujarat, the IMD has recorded a maximum of 43°C, while the minimum is expected to hover around 27°C for Ahmedabad.

Although conditions are likely to remain stable during match hours, low humidity levels ranging between 18% and 28% could still make for an uncomfortable experience for spectators. On the bright side, no rainfall is predicted, so the match is expected to proceed without any weather-related interruptions.
