Khushboo Ali

Severe cold and thick fog have gripped North India, disrupting air travel and causing chaos for holidaymakers returning form Makar Sankaranti celebrations. Ahmedabad Airport, a key hub has witnessed significant disruptions with 85 flights delayed and 16 cancellations in the past two days. Indigo, with 62 flights affected, bears the brunt of the delays.

The impacted routes include connections to Delhi, Jaipur, Agra, Jammu, and more. Low visibility is hindering landing procedures, leaving passengers stranded for hours at Ahmedabad airport terminals. The situation remains uncertain, and travellers are urged to check for updates as authorities work to address the challenges posed by the prevailing cold wave and dense fog in the region.
