During the festival of Raksha Bandhan, when sisters visit their brothers to tie the sacred Rakhi, the AMTS authorities have introduced a complimentary travel scheme for women within the city. As part of the celebration, women will be able to travel on AMTS buses without the need to purchase a ticket on Raksha Bandhan.

Additionally, the municipality has taken a step to enhance convenience for women commuters by introducing special buses on two extended routes. These routes include Chandkheda to Vasna and Naroda to Arvind Polymer.

Starting from Tuesday, these buses, number 401 from Chandkheda to Vasna route, and bus number 66-3 from Naroda to Arvind Polymer route, will be turned into the female-only buses during the rush hours. The inauguration of these buses will be graced by the presence of the Mayor and other esteemed officials.
