Ahmedabad experienced heavy rainfall on Saturday, measuring 4.19 inches, in just two hours between 6 pm and 8 pm, leading to widespread waterlogging in various areas. Fortunately, on Sunday, there was a respite as the weather turned pleasant, accompanied by light showers in the evening.

With this development, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has revised its earlier Red Alert prediction to an Orange Alert for the state. Ahmedabad is expected to witness some light showers today. Despite the downgrade, the regions of Saurashtra and Kutch, as well as Vadodara, Bharuch, and Surat, are bracing for heavy to very heavy rains as per the latest IMD forecasts. Residents in these areas are advised to take necessary precautions and stay updated with local authorities.
