Knocksense Shorts | Gujarat streamlines medical insurance clearance by eliminating Form C

Not only will it benefit hospitals and nursing homes, but it will also assist patients in receiving uninterrupted healthcare services.

Zeal Jani

In a significant development aimed at enhancing healthcare services for hospitals and patients, the Gujarat government has taken the decision to eliminate the requirement of 'Form C.'

This form was previously essential for hospitals to renew their services but has posed challenges for many small healthcare facilities and nursing homes. The absence of this form had hindered medical insurance claims clearance for hospitals.

The introduction of the new Gujarat Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Bill 2021 renders Form C redundant, offering hope for a smoother medi-claim process for patients. This progressive step will not only alleviate the burden faced by hospitals but also facilitate seamless healthcare services for patients seeking medical insurance coverage.
