Although the national passenger vehicle sales experienced a marginal decline of 1.35% in April, with a total of 2.82 lakh units sold during the month, the sales of cars in Gujarat exhibited a contrasting trend, surpassing the national average. As per the data provided by the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA), Gujarat chapter, the sales of passenger vehicles in Gujarat witnessed a remarkable growth of 7%, with 28,597 units retailed.

Reportedly, the growth in the sale of vehicles is mainly attributed to the festive season, as the passenger vehicle market in the state experienced robust sales around Akshaya Tritiya and Eid. Even the two-wheeler sales in the state saw a positive trend with a retail of 89,783 units.

Commenting on April 2023's performance, FADA President Mr. Manish Raj Singhania stated, "Financial Year 2024 began on a subdued note, with the month of April experiencing a 4% YoY overall decline. Although the 3-wheeler segment enjoyed robust growth of 57% YoY, Tractor and CV segments only grew by a modest 1% and 2%, respectively."
