In a homage to the Dandi March, 40 NCC cadets from Gujarat have set out on a 14-day Pad Yatra from Ahmedabad's Sabarmati Ashram to the Dandi Salt Satyagraha Memorial. The journey, covering 410 kilometres, has begun on the 10the of December 2024 and will conclude on the 23rd of December 2024, with the cadets walking an average of 40 kilometres each day.

Throughout the yatra, they will engage with local communities, using street plays and awareness programs to spread messages of nation-building and social change.

Once the cadets reach the Dandi Memorial, they will symbolically prepare salt as a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi’s historic Salt March. This salt will then be carried to New Delhi and presented to the Prime Minister at the NCC PM Rally on the 28th of January 2025.
