WR introduces Ahmedabad–Janghai Maha Kumbh Mela Special train for the expected passenger rush

Special train to operate 18 trips between January and February 2025.

In preparation for the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, Western Railway has announced three pairs of special trains to manage the anticipated surge in passengers. These trains will connect key Gujarat cities, including Ahmedabad, Rajkot, and Veraval, to major pilgrimage destinations such as Janghai and Banaras.

The Ahmedabad–Janghai Maha Kumbh Mela Special will operate 18 trips between January and February 2025. Train No. 09403 will depart from Ahmedabad at 9:15 PM and reach Janghai by 3:00 AM on the third day, while Train No. 09404 will leave Janghai at 8:30 AM and arrive in Ahmedabad the next day at 6:00 PM. Key stops include Anand, Prayagraj, and Ratlam.

Similarly, the Rajkot–Banaras Special will run six trips, departing Rajkot early morning and arriving in Banaras the following afternoon, with halts at cities like Jaipur and Prayagraj. The Veraval–Banaras Special, scheduled for two trips, will depart Veraval late at night and reach Banaras by the third day. Each train features AC, Sleeper, and General coaches, catering to varied passenger needs.
