COVID cases in Goa witnessed a marginal decline; active cases now stand at 918 with 156 new cases

Goa, a tiny emerald land, is the one most popular tourist destinations on the west coast of India. Following which, it has a high number of travellers hoping in frequently and raising the risk of COVID-19 in Goa.

As per the reports, the new cases were reported after the testing of 1,277 samples were conducted a day earlier.

Goa Covid Statistics 

Goa on Friday reported 156 new COVID-19 cases, which was marginally less than the 180 cases reported on Thursday. While the COVID cases in the state witnessed a drop, Goa's recovery rate stood at 98.09%. With these new infections, Goa's active case tally now stands at 918 and the cumulative tally at 2,54,687.

Reportedly, Goa is primarily divided into two specific areas, North and South Goa. According Ministry of Health and Family Welfare report, now 52,837 people in North Goa and 67,542 people in South Goa have been vaccinated with the third, precautionary doze.

Currently, Goa has 53 government and 2 private active vaccination sites in the state, where Covidshield, Covaxin, Sputnik V, Corbevax and Covovax vaccines are being administered.
