Notably, the facilities have been locked since early May, when a peak in COVID numbers and fatalities was observed in the state. Now, it is expected that the proposed moderations will be included in the curfew relaxation program slated for a start on July 5.

Taking cognisance of the falling COVID numbers, shops have been permitted to open from 7 AM to 6 PM every day.
