COVID relief package to help over 50,000 Goan citizens employed in unorganised sectors

In an attempt to compensate for the loss incurred by people of the unorganised sectors during the pandemic, the Goa government has initiated a relief programme that will provide financial assistance to over 50,000 Goan citizens. The aid has been granted to the marginalised employees of the unorganized sectors. An ex-gratia financial assistance of Rs 2 lacs has also been extended to the family of coronavirus victims in this strata.

Goa relays COVID-19 financial relief to locals

The Chief Minister of Goa took to Twitter to announce that the Goa administration stands in solidarity with the people who have been financially plagued by the coronavirus. He took this opportunity to acknowledge the efforts of the state government to reach out to as many as 50,000 people in the unorganised sector to relay monetary support.
