The positivity rate jumps to 14.7% after 201 fresh COVID-19 cases were reported

On Wednesday, Goa witnessed a hike in the active COVID-19 cases as 201 new cases were reported, crossing the 200 mark for the first time in two months. With the latest addition, the total active cases count in the state now mounts to 982. Additionally, the 200 cross-over also resulted in a spike in the positivity rate, from 10-12% to 14.7%.

Reportedly, there were two new hospitalizations, no pandemic-related deaths were reported and the recovery rate fell to 98.06%. As per the statistics, this is the highest number of active cases recorded in a day in the last two months. With the rise of COVID-19 cases, it's time to mask up, get vaccinated, and get tested if you feel ill.
