If you thought you'd seen it all, then think again. The latest and perhaps the most outlandish trend involves experiments with our beloved chai. A video from Goa showing a street vendor making tea with Old Monk rum is doing rounds on the internet. Yes, sounds like an abomination... or does it?

In the now-viral video, a roadside vendor can be seen heating up a kulhad, in which he pours Old Monk rum. He then pours tea into the mixture. As the tea settles and the seller serves it hot. The infamous footage was taken at Sinquerim Beach in Candolim and reads "Old monk tea in Goa. The end is near".

Recently, the state tourism department had banned public drinking in an effort to improve the state of the tourism industry in Goa. Several activities, like open cooking, drinking, and illegal peddling, touting in tourist areas, were listed as punishable offences. Let‘s see how this goes for our Old Monk Tea seller in Goa!
