The BCCI selection committee announced the 17-member squad for the upcoming 2-match T20 series against Ireland. Promoting the young talent in the team, BCCI also declared Hardik Pandya as the captain supported by Bhubneshwar Kumar as vice-captain. The first T20 between India and Ireland is to be played on June 26 and second on June 28.

The squad will see the return of Suryakumar Yadav from an injury and a maiden call for Rahul Tripathi after his stellar performance in the 2022 edition of IPL. Additionally, Sanju Samson has also been taken up as a backup wicketkeeper, meanwhile, veteran Dinesh Karthik will be seen in wicket-keeping gloves.
