Twitter recently rolled out its premium subscription services in India officially known as Twitter Blue. Twitter blue is an opt-in, paid subscription that adds a blue checkmark to your account and offers early access to select features, like editing a tweet, putting a non fungible token (NFT) profile picture, the ability to post longer and full HD video uploads and prioritised rankings in conversations.

Twitter Blue subscription plans
In India, Twitter Blue is available for a monthly fee of ₹650 on the web and ₹900 on mobile devices. The microblogging platform also offers a discounted annual plan of ₹6,800 per year, which comes to ₹566.67 per month. The company further says that Twitter Blue subscribers will see half the amount of ads normal users see on the microblogging platform’s home timeline.
While users might not get the blue tick as soon as they subscribe to Twitter Blue, the aforementioned perks will be immediately available.
How can YOU become a Twitter Blue member
If you want to subscribe to Twitter Blue from a mobile device, tap on your profile pic icon from the top left corner of the screen and you will see ‘Twitter Blue’. Click on it and Twitter will now redirect you to the page from where you can purchase the subscription.
Those using the web version of Twitter can see the option on the left side of the screen. One thing to note here is that if your account has been inactive for the last 30 days or more, you will not be able to purchase Twitter Blue subscription.
