A moment of respite for the residents of Indore, as the active COVID-19 cases have dipped to 50 on April 26 from 60 on April 21. Considering that the city has been witnessing an increase in the infection for the last one month, this seems to be a positive development.

The total number of positive Coronavirus cases in Indore so far are 2,12,815. However, a total of 2,11,293 patients have recovered and have been discharged successfully.

Higher count of patients discharged to admitted

Indore has been undergoing a phase of fluctuating COVID cases. As per the official tally, in the last seven days, 53 patients were discharged from hospitals, while only 43 new infections were registered i.e 10 more than the positive cases in the same period.

It is believed that the number of daily cases will drop to zero in the next couple of weeks. Although the cases are decreasing, people are still advised to stay alert and follow the proper hygiene protocols.

Meanwhile, the city administration is regularly testing people who show the slightest of symptoms of cough and cold, related to influenza-like illness and acute respiratory infection which are also on a rise in Indore.
