BMC dispatches teams to learn from Indore's successful waste management model

The city of Indore, recognized as the 'Cleanest City' multiple times, is serving as a model for Mumbai's Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). A delegation of 50 BMC officials is in Indore to study the effective waste management practices that have contributed to Indore's consistent cleanliness accolades. The 'Indore Model' focuses on waste generation and segregation, waste processing units, and systematic door-to-door collection. The BMC aims to implement these insights to enhance solid waste management in Mumbai.
