Due to decline in demand, MP's Patalpani-Kalakund heritage train to run ONLY on Sundays

Till now, this heritage train used to operate thrice a week.

The only heritage train operating in Madhya Pradesh, the Patalpani-Kalakund Heritage Train will now operate only on Sundays, from December 13. Till now, the train used to operate three times a week and this reduction in operation is a result of the decline in demand and seats going empty.

The Railway Board has noticed a consistent dip in demand on the heritage train after the monsoon months. And chances are that the train's operations might also be halted after March 2025.
