Facilitating 24x7 services in Indore, the Indore Municipal Corporation announced the implementation of a 24x7 services scheme for the Indore BRTS corridor.

As per the officials, shops, restaurants and other commercial establishments falling between Niranjanpur and Rajiv Gandhi Chowk will remain open for 24 hrs. The move is aimed at facilitating services to the Indore IT Hub.

Additional measures to back the decision

Previously, the authorities also allowed 24x7 work hours for the BPO and IT hub. Thereafter the decision to open the commercial hubs has also been enforced to boost the state economy and generate new employment opportunities.

Ensuring better commutes, AICTSL buses will continue their operation along the BRTS corridor. Reportedly, the Indore district collector also issued an order asking the establishments to make necessary services available along the open corridor. Although liquor stores, bars and pubs have not been allowed to operate post-allowed time.

Additionally, measures for public convenience and the smooth functioning of the city during the night hours have also been taken. The establishments along the corridor will be needed to get registered on an online app and will be required to install CCTV cameras. Furthermore, police officials will be deployed around the corridor to ensure safety.
