In a majestic homage to Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar, Madhya Pradesh’s cabinet will convene a historic session on May 21 at the 200-year-old Rajwada Palace, the first since 1945. Chaired by MP Chief Minister, the meeting will be held in Rajwada’s beautifully restored Ganesh Hall, marking the closing ceremony of Ahilyabai Holkar’s 300th birth anniversary celebrations. Embracing tradition, the Chief Minister and ministers will sit on mats and cushions, recreating the ambiance of the Holkar dynasty.

Key reforms ahead

Key proposals include the 'MP Metropolitan Planning And Development Act 2025' which aims to form planning committees in metro regions like Indore and Bhopal. A ₹2,200 crore green signal is also expected for the 'Advaita Lok' project in Omkareshwar.

Before the session, the ministers will enjoy Malwa cuisine at Sarafa, visit Lalbagh Palace, and attend a cultural play on Ahilyabai. Rajwada will remain a no-vehicle zone during the meeting, with traditional food and a tilak-turban welcome completing the regal setting.
