Indore's Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar International Airport is undergoing a major transformation with the revamped old terminal and the addition of a new one, both set to enhance passenger experience. The airport aims to handle 100 flights per day by 2025, with plans for another new terminal to support the growing demand.

The old terminal is ready to welcome travellers and will now handle 18 ATR flights, including routes to Varanasi, Rajkot, Ahmedabad, and Raipur, as well as the Indore-Sharjah international flight.

3.57 million passengers and counting!

Indore Airport has seen remarkable growth, handling 3.57 million passengers this year alone. With plans to increase daily flights to 100 by 2025, and the launch of exciting new international routes—including a direct flight to Bangkok—Indore is quickly establishing itself as a major aviation hub. New flights to Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Bhubaneswar are also set to begin soon, further boosting the city’s connectivity.

The airport’s expanded terminal, spanning 6,000 square meters, will significantly enhance its capacity, accommodating 2,500 passengers per hour, a sharp increase from the current 1,500.

This growth marks a key milestone in Indore’s aviation history, which began 87 years ago when JRD Tata made the first flight here. The airport continues to expand with ambitious plans to grow its international reach and flight operations.
