Indore steps into a new era of urban transit with its first Metro service launching today on May 31. The much-anticipated Indore Metro will start passenger runs on a 5.9 km Super Priority Corridor of the Yellow Line, linking five key stations from Gandhinagar to Super Corridor 3.

In its first phase, passengers can enjoy free rides for an entire week. After that, fares will range from ₹20 to ₹80. Each train will have three coaches, running 90 trips daily and stopping for 2 minutes at each station.

This launch marks the beginning of a 31.32 km network designed to ease traffic, reduce pollution, and provide a modern, eco-friendly commute across the city. With 28 stations planned in total and a project cost of ₹7,500 crore, Indore Metro is set to transform daily travel in India’s cleanest city.
