In addition, a train maintenance depot is now being developed between Gandhi Nagar and Super Corridor 6 stations (High priority corridor). A private contractor was appointed back in 2022 for the purpose. Incidentally, the ongoing construction of the 26.25-hectare depot is likely to be completed within the next three years.

The depot will be utilized for storing and maintaining metro trains

Once developed, the depot will be utilized to store and maintain Indore Metro's Alstom train-sets which will operate on the Yellow Line. Moreover, the Yellow Line route will connect prominent points including Palasia, Railway Station, Rajwara, Airport, and Bhawarsala in the city of Indore.

Alstom, a French multinational rolling stock manufacturing company was awarded the contract by Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL) to deliver 25 standard gauge Movia metro passenger trainsets for Indore.
