In a first, Indore to host the 228th edition of India International Mega Trade Fair!

The event will showcase a range of products from 8 countries and 12 states!

For the first time in its legacy of 228 editions, the India International Mega Trade Fair has found its home in Indore. As per reports, the vivid expo will celebrate businesses and entrepreneurs from India and across, from August 27 to September 5. The fair will showcase a range of products from 8 countries and 12 states and is set to open its gates for all, post a mega-inauguration ceremony, slated at 8:30 PM tonight.

Indore boasts of being the cultural as well as the 'Commercial Capital' of Madhya Pradesh and by virtue of this status, has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the India International Mega Trade Fair, this year. The expo will give an advanced platform to young entrepreneurs of the state, to boost the development of industrial trade and innovation in businesses. It will also facilitate interaction across several industries and even with eminent business personalities of India and abroad.

Over 25,000 products will make it to the exhibition display, with participants pouring in from 12 states and 8 countries. In line with the COVID-19 protocols, only 80 stalls will be accommodated at the event, which would conduct sales through the 10-day festive fair.

Visitors will get a chance to get their hands on perfumes from Dubai, Bangladeshi saris, steam irons from Singapore and even artificial jewellery from Thailand. Goods from Indonesia, Malaysia and Turkey will also make it to the exhibition. From India, the states of Rajasthan, UP, Bihar, Punjab, Karnataka, Orissa, Gujarat, Kerala and Maharashtra, will light up this fair.

Reportedly, the trade fest is being collectively organised by the Association of Industries of MP (AIMP) along with the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industries. There will be free entry to the fair, informed the organisers, with complete adherence to all COVID-19 safety norms.
