Madhya Pradesh's Indore is all set to be crowned as the Cleanliest City in India for the fifth consecutive year at the Swachh Amrit Mahotsav organised by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) in New Delhi. President Ram Nath Kovind will honour the winners of Swachh Survekshan 2021 at this event, tomorrow. Apart from this honour, Indore is also expected to receive awards in the Safaimitra Challenge and in the Five Star category.

Under the ambit of 'Safaimitra Suraksha Challenge', efforts of the sanitisation workers in top ranking cities will also be honoured in this ceremony. Apart from the President, Union Minister, Chief Ministers and Mayors from across the country will partake in this program.
Notably, the Swachh Survekshan was launched initially in 2016 with 73 cities participating in the survey. With the participation of 4,320 cities in the 6th edition of this campaign this year, it has become the largest urban cleanliness survey in the wold.

The authority has made special arrangements to make sure that the Indoris witness this historic event live. The entire program will be telecasted from 11 AM to 1:30 PM, at various public places across the city. Live telecast will take place at the Khajrana Ganesh Mandir, Ranjeet Hanuman Mandir, Rajwada, Palasia Selfie Point, Meghdoot Garden, near Rajendra Nagar Railway Station, Indra Nagar Nigam, Musakhedi Square, Marimata intersection and Kalani Nagar.
