Indore Railway Station to be revamped soon; Foundation stone to be laid down on April 24

To accommodate newer technology, Indore Railway Station will soon be revamped by Western Railway zone of Indian Railways. Prime Minister of India is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for the renovation project virtually on April 24.

As per officials, the property is being revamped at a whooping budget of ₹1000 crores, out of which ₹340 crore has been allocated in next financial year's budget.

The railway station will be developed keeping in mind the new trains coming soon 

Western Railway has already sent the proposal draft to the Railway board for approval. Once finalised, authorities will commence the tender process.

The entrance of the station will be inspired by city’s famous Rajwada Palace and for the convenience of travellers, a metro station will also be connected with. The state-of-the-art facility will house a slew of amenities such as a grand entrance, roof plaza, executive lounge, and Wi-Fi.

Indore is one of the fastest growing cities with rapidly increasing population. The revamped Indore railway station with a larger space and up-to-date mechanics will be able to easily accommodate the new trains including Vande Bharat expresses, Rewa-Itwari, Chhindwara-Nenpur and Nenpur-Chhindwara.
