Knocksense Shorts | After magnificent zebras, Indore Zoo to house the giraffe!

Khushbu Kirti

After magnificent black-and-white-striped zebras were welcomed at Indore Zoo, preparations are in full swing to introduce the giraffe here. In order to implement the transfer, under the Animal Exchange Programme, discussions are currently taking place with officials at zoos in Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Patna.

Indore authorities are currently aiming at increasing the various species of wildlife at the Kamla Nehru Prani Sangrahalaya (or the Indore Zoo).

Recently, an influx of spectators gathered at the zoo to have a glimpse of the African zebras, brought in a few days back, in exchange for white tigers. The population of tigers here has surged in the last couple years, due to which these exchanges have been made possible.

In the coming few months, locals can expect the humongous hoofed mammals, giraffes, at Indore Zoo!
