A special cleanliness drive at the Ramsar Site, Sirpur Talab, has been launched by the Indore Municipal Corporation in honour of World Wetland Day, which falls on February 2. The initiative is being headed by Municipal Commissioner Sh. Harshika Singh (IAS). This program, which will run from January 22 to February 2, 2024, demonstrates IMC's steadfast dedication to maintaining this wetland's unique vegetation, wildlife protection, and ecological diversity.

IMC has emphasised the significance of public participation and has called on people to actively participate in this initiative, understanding that their involvement is essential to its success. Raising awareness of the critical role wetlands play in preserving environmental equilibrium and instilling responsible behavior toward these essential ecosystems are the main objectives. Ensuring a sustainable and peaceful coexistence with our natural surroundings requires a collective effort.
