Knocksense Shorts | Indore Airport falls out of top 5 cleanest airports in India; Slips to 7th spot

Khushbu Kirti

While Indore continues to hold its 'cleanest city' title tightly, the cleanliness rankings for its airport are declining fast. The Devi Ahilyabai Holkar International Airport, holding the top place in last year's Airport Council International (ACI) survey before February, has now dropped to the 7th position in the rankings. It is succeeded by Goa Airport at the first spot, followed by airports of Visakhapatnam and Raipur.

Out of a total of 31 points, relating to a host of factors, including hygiene, passenger convenience and others, points were deducted from 11 criterion at the Indore Airport, as per reports. Factors like "cleanliness of washrooms", among others, are considered in marking.
