Knocksense Shorts | Indore Metro project gains momentum as Alstom starts manufacturing trainsets

Alstom, a French multinational rolling stock manufacturing company was awarded with a combined contract to manufacture trainsets back in July, 2022.

MP's ambitious plans for developing mass rapid transit systems in two of the prominent cities of the state i.e. Indore and Bhopal is soon to become a reality. Alongwith all the infrastructural developments which are in full swing in both cities, the designated rolling stock company, Alstom, has now commenced the manufacturing process for developing 52 standard gauge Movia metro passenger trainsets.

Out of the 52 trains, as many as 27 train sets will be utilized in the Bhopal Metro corridor while 25 trains will be utilized in the Indore Metro corridor.

The state-of-the-art Movia metro trainsets have a super-sturdy built, constituting light but strong stainless steel car bodies paired with ultramodern technology.
