In order to prevent accidents caused due to poor eyesight, Indore's Regional Transport Department (RTD) will organise an eye check-up camp. The camp aims at boosting road safety and will be taking place on August 11. Here, bus, e-rickshaw and auto drivers can also get medical consultations.

Assistant Regional Transport Officer Archana Mishra said, “We run the eye check-up camp at regular intervals not only to check the eyesight but also to motivate people to get their eyesight checked regularly to ensure safe driving.”

Auto and bus drivers are also encouraged to participate in the camp. Previously, eye check-up camps were organised for the RTO staff and applicants, wherein some 175 people underwent tests and it was found that about 20% were advised to use spectacles and take medication.
